Medicines Development (MD) IT serves as a strategic function within Eli Lilly & Company. The MD IT team defines and influences information and business strategies, and designs, develops and brings to bear solutions to enable the realization of those strategies. These responsibilities require a solid grasp of the MD business process landscape as well as its foundational information and data flow. This knowledge also includes the understanding of information management and its technological enablement.

This role will be primarily responsible for driving and delivering value from the MD IT Information Hub blending the roles of Technologist/Technology Integrator, Business and Data Analyst, and Execution Lead.

Technologist/Technology Integrator
  • Develop queries and deliver consumer web services using e.g. OData, SASS, SQL supporting consumer and data steward requests
  • Follow quality-related procedures and utilize tools such as ALM, ServiceNow and Regulus
  • Ensure and apply proper data security
  • Anticipate the implications of technical decisions and advise IT business partners and data stewards accordingly
  • Engage in solution visioning, apply improvements, and provide technical support
Business and Data Analyst
  • Dedicatedly engages with IT business partners and data stewards to deliver business value from the MD IT Information Hub
  • Uses and continuously improves Information Hub Services to fulfill consumer data requests which include activities such as driving clarity of business processes, use cases, and data attributes, facilitating Privacy and compliance processes, partnering on solution delivery and support needs, providing cost estimates for planning purposes, and leading delivery expectations
  • Effectively translates business process and data needs into technical terms and vice versa, producing necessary artifacts
Execution Lead
  • Run Information Hub Services request-related communications with IT business partners and data stewards
  • Establish and drive Information Hub Services request completion including resources, cost, and effort
  • Analyze and communicate status, influence adjustments from a business and IT perspective, readily engage in problem-solving, maximizing positive impact


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related fields
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
  • Confirmed strong business and data analysis, partnership, self-management, and execution skills
  • Requirements and SQL development experience
  • Confirmed ability to understand and follow quality and compliance processes and procedures
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Clinical Data Integration knowledge
  • Web services and data warehouse knowledge or experience, OData, SASS
  • Experience with software development process, spanning project initiation through support
  • Confirmed ability to lead multi-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Confirmed ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong presentation skills
